Fun Spring DIY Porch Refresh

What a truly unprecedented time for our world right now! A lot of negativity abounds but my happy clan and I are focusing on making the most of it and being creative. The world keeps on blooming, as should we!

I wanted to do some simple DIY things to freshen up what I already had out on the front porch and re-purpose a few items (I love getting multiple uses out of things!).

I have some colorful planters where I have planted kale and succulents, plants that are easy and low maintenance. It's time to add some flowers to them now that it warmer weather. In back is also a bush that the bunnies like to hang out under. Whenever the leaves are getting brown, I pull them off and leave for my bunny friends.

Last fall, I had a welcome sign that is a fun DIY craft this spring. I flipped it over and added a self-adhesive wallpaper from Amazon, cut to length. Then we wrapped the corners around for crisp edges and smoothed out bubbles by hand. I bought numbers from Lowes and hot glued them on – easy peesy!

For the front door, I pulled out an Easter arrangement that I have had for a few years.. We removed a few of the eggs inside it, added in some faux succulents, and rearranged the flowers for a fresher look.

The fun succulent arrangement I had on the front door previously was moved to the side wall. I finished the space with a lantern-topped plant stand, a small faux succulent, and a cute little owl whoooo was in the backyard (see what I did there?).

Check out the video below for our finished spring DIY porch refresh!

To make a spring vignette inside the house, I added the colorful eggs to the entryway table, as well as some cute bunny decor I bought and finished with Spanish moss. Simple and sweet.

Thanks for visiting the Terri Becker Designs blog! I hope you are all staying safe, making the most out of this down time, and creating some beauty out of this mud pie.

Much love!

Terri
