Spring is here, y'all! Now is the perfect time to get that outdoor project started. So, get your family involved and let's make this extra time enjoyable by getting some fresh air and getting that backyard transformed into a paradise you can enjoy!

1. DIY Outdoor Fire Pit

Nothing begs for families to be outside together like a beautiful campfire! Grab some cinder blocks from your local hardware store or buy a kit, like this one from Lowe's. It included easy step-by-step directions and promises a fun family project. Get your ghost stories and s'mores ingredients ready for year-round family fun!

2. DIY Outdoor Movie Screen

I love going to the movies and miss going to the theater so much! There are multiple ways to fashion the screens as seen below. This is a great idea to bring the movies to your backyard. Set up some comfy chairs, cushions, pop some popcorn, and settle in for some old family movies or your favorite action, romance, or comedy movies!

6. DIY Hammock

Nothing like swinging in the breeze on a nice spring day with a good book! If you have trees you could anchor a hammock in-between, awesome. If not, a quick trip to the hardware store for some lumber, you could make your own for as little as $25!

7. DIY Corn Hole Toss Game

A fun way to keep the family entertained is by a little friendly competition! You can make your own corn hole toss game and finish it with a fun design or your favorite team logo! The sky is the limit on what you can come up with, so get creative.

8. DIY Fountain

"To bring your garden to life, just add water. Moving water catches sunlight and generates a soothing sound to make your space relaxing. Most hardware stores won't carry everything needed for this type of fountain, but you can purchase materials from a water garden shop or online. Fountains make a great impression along a walkway, by a front entrance, or near a patio. They require electricity, so select a spot near an outdoor outlet." The soothing sound of water bubbling is such a nice way to relax. Step-by-step directions can be found on Better Homes & Garden blog. Making your own water feature is far easier than you would think!
